From idea to launch-ready MVP: how an embedded ITGRATE team built Urban Navi for a German founder in six months

A solo founder with a vision for a new social community app — and no engineering team to build it — shipped a real, launch-ready product in six months. No three-month hiring cycle, no agency black box. Just a dedicated cross-platform team embedded in the founder's workflow, managed to German standards. This is ITGRATE's model at the MVP stage.

The client

Urban Navi is a social media community app — a place for people to connect around the world while traveling. Behind it is a German founder with a clear product vision and the market insight to back it, but the same gap almost every early-stage founder hits: a great idea moves at the speed of the team that can build it, and there wasn't one yet.

The challenge

Turning a vision into a working app is where most early-stage ideas stall. Hiring a senior developer in Germany is slow and expensive — a multi-month process before a single line of code gets written — and for a founder validating a new product, every one of those months is runway. A traditional agency brings the opposite problem: hand over a spec, lose visibility, and get back something months later that may or may not be what you actually meant.

What the founder needed was neither: a team that could start fast, build to a real standard, move as the product evolved, and leave the founder owning the code outright — all on an MVP budget.

Why embedded, not outsourced

This is the distinction that matters. ITGRATE didn't take Urban Navi away and return a finished box. A dedicated developer and project manager worked with the founder — same priorities, same direction, regular check-ins — with German-market project management wrapped around the engineering so a non-technical founder never had to run a dev team to get a product built.

That's the whole point of the model: senior capacity in weeks instead of a hiring cycle, a team that genuinely functions as your team, and a work product that belongs to you the entire way through. It's the same Dedicated Product Team approach ITGRATE runs at scale — applied here at exactly the size an MVP needs.

What we built

Over a focused six-month engagement, Urban Navi went from concept to a launch-ready MVP, built on a stack chosen deliberately for an early-stage product — fast to build, lean to run, and ready to scale when the user base does:

  • Cross-platform from day one with Flutter — one codebase shipping to both iOS and Android, instead of paying to build and maintain two. For an MVP, that's the difference between launching on one platform and launching everywhere.
  • A lean, scalable backend on Firebase and Supabase — real-time features, authentication, and data handled with managed services, so engineering effort went into the product instead of reinventing infrastructure.
  • Hosting and infrastructure on Google Cloud and VPS — a setup sized for an MVP's budget today that has clear room to grow as the community does.
  • End-to-end project management — scope, priorities, and delivery managed to German standards throughout, keeping a solo founder out of the weeds and on the vision.

The result wasn't a prototype to throw away. It was a real, maintainable product the founder owns — ready to put in front of users.

Why this model fits founders

The strength of an embedded team isn't just that it ships — it's that the founder comes out the other side in control. The codebase is clean and built on mainstream, well-supported technology, not a bespoke tangle only the original agency can touch. Whoever extends Urban Navi next — the founder's future in-house hire, or a continued team with ITGRATE — inherits a foundation built to be handed over, not held hostage.

For any founder weighing how to build, that's the real test: does the partner make you dependent, or does it leave you with something you genuinely own and can grow? Here, by design, the latter.

In the client's words

The most tangible outcome was our ability to significantly limit the scope of the MVP and stay focused on what truly mattered. As a result, we successfully launched the product within just 6 months. This speed to market allowed us to start gathering real user feedback early and iterate based on actual needs rather than assumptions.— Linda K., Urban Navi

The results

  • Launch-ready MVP delivered in six months — concept to a real product, on schedule.
  • Cross-platform on a single codebase — live-ready on both iOS and Android from one build.
  • Founder owns the code — built on mainstream, scalable technology, ready to extend or hand off.
  • An embedded team, not an outsourced black box — German-standard project management, delivered from ITGRATE's side.

Thinking about building your MVP?

If you're a founder with a product vision and no team to build it yet, this is the model: a dedicated developer — or a small embedded team — working in your workflow, productive in weeks instead of a hiring cycle, managed to German standards and delivered from our Vietnam side. You get the capacity. You keep the code.
